Frome has been a Fairtrade Town since 2003, one of the earliest ones in the country. It means that a good proportion of Frome shops and businesses buy, use and sell Fairtrade items.
The Town Council is committed to buying Fairtrade products as far as possible. A steering group raises awareness of Fairtrade principles and has informal meetings every couple of months generally held in a lovely cafe or bar – new volunteers are always welcome to get involved.
