In Shelia’s early career she was a teacher teaching mainly at the Natural History Museum in London. Making a big shift in career, she bought Frome Wholefoods in the late 1990’s which she owned for more than 20 years. In 2016, she sold the shop a few years after becoming a town councillor and just before she was Mayor. She is now also a trustee of the Frome Museum neatly linking to her early life.
