Special Post Box for Frome

Frome resident, Oakfield student, and winner of the Royal Mail stamp design competition Ted Clark’s designed an award winning stamp earlier this year, and now his work is being championed in the town centre.

The postbox in Scott Road (in the Westway shopping centre) has been brought to life by Royal Mail, coated in glorious blue paint and covered with giant versions of Ted’s stamps.

The lettering on the front reads “this postbox has been decorated to celebrate local schoolboy, Ted Lewis-Clark, designing the 1st Class Christmas Stamp in Royal Mail’s 2017 Christmas Stamp Design Competition. The images on this box will remain in place throughout the 2017 Christmas season”

Frome Mayor Sheila Gore also pictured, who joined Ted in turning on the Christmas Lights last Friday to mark the beginning of the Christmas period said “What a huge achievement for a talented young man, and a great way to showcase his brilliant work. Frome is a town that rewards creativity, it’s wonderful to see our young artists being celebrated too”
