Fair Frome recruiting for a Furniture Bank Co-ordinator

Fair Frome is recruiting  a Furniture Bank Co-ordinator. Please see below to find out more about this exciting role:
Post: Furniture Bank Co-ordinator
Hours: 16 per week
Pay 16 Hours PW in line with Living Wage Foundation rates, currently £8.45 PH

Fair Frome, the local Frome charity that currently runs the Food Bank in town is looking to recruit a special person to run the Furniture Bank, due to open soon.

The Furniture Bank is a new project which will run along similar lines to the Food Bank, receiving referrals from partner organisations of people who need furniture and household goods and delivering them from donated items free of charge. The project also intends to recycle furniture and other items working with local volunteers and schools.

The Coordinator will work to the Fair Frome Coordinator and be responsible for all aspects of the scheme – recruiting and managing and supporting volunteers, working from the business and financial plan to establish and maintain a scheme which serves the needs of people in crisis, establishing and maintaining systems to record work, representing Fair Frome, driving the van etc.

This is a really exciting post at a point when Fair Frome is looking to expand its services to people in need. We are therefore especially keen on recruiting someone who shares the ethos of Fair Frome and is able to deliver a project of excellence and make a real difference.

For further information and application pack, contact info@fairfrome.org  or write to Fair Frome at Frome Town Hall, Christchurch Street West, Frome BA11 1EB

Closing date for applications is 10th March. Interviews will be held on 17th March in Frome.

Fair Frome is a Living Wage Employer. If successful, following interview you will be subject to a Disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
