How your business can help and the role of crowdfunding

On Tuesday 6 December, the Frome Business Breakfast will outline the different ways that businesses can become more involved in the community and work together towards strengthening the town.

Gary Collinson, the Football and Operations Director at Frome Football Club, will be talking about the positive impact that businesses can make by helping community organisations and charity groups with the support they need in terms of expertise, experience, and financial support.  He will also outline the real and practical benefits that businesses can derive from working with the community sector.

As an effective way to identify where and how community organisations need help, crowdfunding is a simple method for your business to get more involved in supporting community projects. Crowdfund Frome http://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/frome is a new Frome-based crowdfunding initiative. It will allow businesses and residents the chance to pledge directly toward the funding targets of projects that aim to build a flourishing and active community, increase environmental sustainability or help with the prosperity of the town.  Paul Wynne, Frome’s Town Clerk will explain how Crowdfund Frome will work.

Beginning at 7am, next month’s Breakfast will be hosted at Frome Football Club where a delicious cooked breakfast will be available to all attendees. Organised by Frome Town Council, Frome and District Chamber of Commerce and AM Personnel’s Mairi Connelly, the Frome Business Breakfast sessions are open to all local businesses and community enterprises. In addition to the informative talk on supporting community organisations and crowdfunding, the breakfast will also be a great opportunity to meet with other local businesses.

The event costs £10 per person with the breakfast included in the price. Dietary options are available upon request prior to the event. Registration is essential via the following link, buy tickets. Please contact Charlie Orr at orrc@frometowncouncil.gov.uk for further information.
